St. Johns Women’s Choir is a yearlong vocal ensemble dedicated to providing a safe and empowering musical experience for women who love to sing. The ensemble is open to women ages 18 yrs+. Emphasis is placed on creating beautiful music and building strong and lasting bonds with other female singers in the community. Through gently structured rehearsals, singers and conductor collaborate to create art through song. Registration for this ensemble includes a featured spot in Cathedral Park Performing Arts Collective’s annual Roots-n-Harmony Benefit Show May 4, each end-of-term showcase, and other performance opportunities in the community.

A singer in St. Johns Women’s Choir will:

  • Be engaged with her community through ensemble and song.
  • Perform beautiful and compelling music.
  • Learn works by contemporary female artists across genres.
  • Participate in collaborative processes.
  • Improve her music literacy and musical development.
  • Find healing through ensemble and song.

Note: There will be a welcome-back potluck and rehearsal (“Singluck”) on Wednesday, September 18 from 6:00-9:00 pm at the Cathedral Park Performing Arts Collective studio. New and prospective singers are strongly encouraged to attend to meet the director and fellow singers and get acquainted with the space and repertoire. The first full rehearsal of the season will be Wednesday, September 25 from 7:00-9:00 pm.

***Singers who register for this choir will automatically be registered for subsequent terms through the end of the 2019-2020 season, unless you notify Cathedral Park Performing Arts Collective otherwise. The full price tuition rate of $400.00 is for the whole year (fall, winter, and spring terms). As always, payment plans and scholarships are available.***
