Musical Theatre Class

Musical Theatre Class is designed for students who range in experience with musical theatre from some to none. Students in this class learn proven skills and techniques used by seasoned and professional singing actors. In this class we will learn different acting techniques through games and activities, learn music from a popular musical, and learn dance choreography. Throughout the ten weeks of this class, we will work on a scene from a musical where every student will have a character role. Students in this class perform at the showcase at the end of each 10-week session.

Students in this class will:

Enhance singing, dancing, and acting skills.

Participate fun and engaging acting activities to help with their development as an actor. Practice team cooperation. 

Memorize lines. 

Learn the art of self and character exploration. 

Build friendships. 

Perform in front of an audience.

WHAT TO BRING: Students should come to class in comfortable clothing and footwear that allows them to move around freely. Closed toed shoes are required; jazz or ballet slippers optional; no boots, high heels, or sandals permitted during rehearsals. Please bring a water bottle with tightly secured lid to each class.
