Marimba Workshop: 2 is a class designed for ages 12 yrs+, including adults. Participants in this class range from having some to little or no experience with marimba. In this class, students play music and rhythm games alongside learning traditional and contemporary pieces, with the goals of continuing to develop the motor, rhythmic, and listening skills fundamental to the instrument and having fun in the process.
Students in this class will:
-Build listening and rhythm skills
-Develop group practicing skills
-Play rhythm games
-Engage with music from the other side of the world
-Build motor skills and hand-eye coordination
