This workshop is a must-try for any students interested in starting their own band or joining our school-year Build-a-Band classes! Students in this weeklong workshop will work together to build their own multi-instrument ensemble. The workshop emphasizes creating music collaboratively with bandmates, and addresses composition and arrangement, band dynamics, rehearsal techniques, performance and recording. This is an advanced workshop intended for students with previous experience singing or playing an instrument. All instruments and voice types are welcome, and all students that meet the age and experience requirements are encouraged to join this one-of-a-kind workshop! Participants will perform in an in-class demo the last day of workshop.
WHAT TO BRING:
Students should bring their instrument (if applicable) to each class and will need access to their instrument for at-home practice for the duration of their weeklong session. Please let us know if you would like more information about renting or purchasing an instrument.
