Summer Musical Theatre Workshop: MATILDA, Act 1

Instructors/Directors: Cristina Marino, Joseph Cirillo, and Larissa Hawk.

Students in this one-week workshop will journey through the first half of our story, based on the musical, MATILDA. Students will work together to learn their very own role, including solo and ensemble songs, scenes, and choreographed dance numbers.

Students who wish to participate in both ACT 1 (July 29-August 2) and ACT 2 (August 5-9) of the production should register for both weeks of the Summer Musical Theatre Workshop.

LOCATIONS Mondays-Wednesdays at the CPPAC Studio: 8426 N Lombard Street, Portland, Oregon, 97203
Thursdays-Fridays location: St. Johns Christian Church, 8044 N. Richmond Ave

2:15 pm Student Check-Out*

*Must be picked up by an authorized adult and may not leave alone without written consent from parent/guardian.

PERFORMANCES
Workshop performances take place on the Friday of each workshop week at 1:15 pm. Location TBD.  

WHAT TO WEAR
Students should wear clothing that allows them to move comfortably. Flat, closed-toed street shoes -OR- dance flats (i.e. ballet slippers or jazz dance shoes) are best. Layering is recommended.

WHAT TO BRING
Students should bring their script (handed out Day 1) and water bottle each day.

LUNCH
Lunch may be brought from home -OR- students may choose to eat the lunches provided at St. Johns Park through Portland Parks & Recreation’s free summer “Lunch in the Park” program. Lunch is scheduled from 11:50 am-12:35 pm daily.
